Holy Apostles Catechumen Classes

Greetings Everyone in the Precious Name of the Lord!

You are invited to join the Online Catechumen Discussion via Skype.   Tuesday evenings seem to be the best option for Skyping.  Therefore, tentatively we’ll plan to meet on Tuesday evening from 8 until 9 pm (possibly 8:30 until 9:30 pm)

I’ll need to know the names, cellphone numbers, preferred email addresses, etc. of participants.  If there are other individuals who want to listen in and/or participate, please provide their information too.

As a reminder, the text will be Clark Carlton’s book:  THE  FAITH:  Understanding Orthodox Christianity – An Orthodox Catechism.  You may order it from a variety of sources online or view it free at:  All Holy Spirit Greek Orthodox Church

We will begin by discussing the author, the forewards and the preface and then ‘What Is the Orthodox Church.’  Once we begin the chapter discussions, please read them in advance and have your personal answers to the REFLECTION  questions.

By God’s grace, this will be a beneficial journey for all of us.  Your questions can generally be asked at any time.  May the Holy Spirit bless, guide and protect our times together.

Your servant in the Lord,

Father Paul

“The spirit of luke-warmness reigns.  There's no manliness at all.   We've been spoiled for good. How does God still tolerate us?   Today's generation is the generation of indifference.   There are no warriors.  The great majority are fit for parades and feasts only ... Even people who've got something inside have begun to grow cool saying, 'Can I really do anything to change the situation?'   We have to witness our Faith with boldness, because, if we continue to remain silent, we'll have to answer in the end.   In these difficult days, each must do what is in their own power. Leave what's out of their power to God.   In this way, our conscience will be clear.” -- St. Paisios the Athonite
